great indian sycophany

Today during Rahul Gandhi return journey from Ludhiana to Delhi, his trained was stoned. Many glasses of train were broken and there was panic in train as reported by media. Although no one got hurt and Rahul bogey was not stoned. media is criticizing VIP’s like Rahul for traveling with common people and creating panic and inconvenience because of SPG and other security measures.even though Same media were praising him for simplicity in morning when everything was fine. Unquestionably media has still to understand how to react to news.
As we know this journey was part of austerity drive started by congress. Top criticism for this drive came form BJP who termed it as mere show off. We all know this is not only single solution, but I would have really appreciated them if they had also followed same along with asking for more work to be done. From last 6 years only thing that BJP is doing is criticisms and they have got result for that. But still they hadn’t understood I think. Cutting government expenses and saving our precious money will at least will never harm our country.
Second important point is that after a lot of time these politicians have found coming close to people as there USP. Unfortunately even after 60 years of independence we live in a system where ruling class has taken the place of maharajas and navabs who find security guards and special facility as mark of their reputation. They consider themselves above law, administration and everything else. We all know how all them behave. So if some top leaders of country are trying to be like common man we must appreciate that. It is true that one train journey by Rahul Gandhi may not put change the financial health of country but it will surely work as example for lot of young politicians and especially of congress party. So stop yelling and if u can’t appreciate then at least keep quiet

I do agree with the author that instead of criticizing, the opposition too should have taken similar steps. However, we still have to see how long Rahul & Sonia can bear the life of "common man"...in any case, they are not paying Rs. 100 for pulses & Rs. 40 for sugar. A journey in the train or an economy class flight doesn't make them THAT common.

I believe it is nothing more than a show off...or rather fooling people (Indian politics proves that its a kid's play). Rahul Gandhi is pretty much in a habit of doing that. He dines with the villagers in Amethi & tells overwhelmed locals that the state government is responsible for zero development in the area. Now who is to ask him how the State Govt. can be held totally responsible when Amethi was the constituency of Rajeev Gandhi & then it became the constituency of Sonia Gandhi & then Rahul himself won the elections from the same seat? Huh........that's what we call "posing".

P.S: Please don't take my post on political lines...I do not support BJP & i hate communists.
